After Dustin and I got engaged I started mentally setting up my sewing room and thinking about projects I would work on over the summer. I was originally very excited for not only sewing projects, but setting up the house and going on our honeymoon. Then I started thinking about how lonely this summer could be out at the house all day by myself with my husband and neighbors at work. I thought about this a few times, but never really consciously prayed about it.
About a week before our wedding, Dustin caught one of our tomcats with a kitten in his mouth. With a call to the vet, we realized becoming kitten parents would be too much work right then. He put it back across the neighbor's fence in hopes the mother would find it.

The ladies were all exclaiming over her blue eyes and so I pulled her name from Scarlett's daughter in Gone with the Wind which is one of my favorite books. Bonnie Blue now has a vet appointment and will become our house cat.
Every morning, Dustin gets up and if Bonnie hasn't already made it into our bed, he puts her with me to snuggle for a while. I just have a feeling I won't be sleeping in too much this summer, but that's alright with me.
It has been a huge blessing to have Bonnie here with me and I know that I won't be quite as lonely as I thought I would be this summer. God is so cool in how he answers prayers that we didn't even consciously pray.
'Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. -Psalm 37:4'
